Hey guys, I disappeared for a while. Life has been so good. Summer is now over (boo hoo), I miss the warm sun on my face. It gives me a sense of peace and makes me want to eat honey dew with lime on top! That was my favoite food this summer. We had a few great trips this summer with Lake Powell being the BEST. WE had all the kids and Grand kids on the boat and it was such a joy to see them play and love the water like I do. Food was amazing. The girls did a fantastic job planning. You are all invited to come again.
Didn't do much quilting this summer, just a table topper for Oma. I love to sew for her she gets so excited. Oh I did a quilt for Grandma Kathy too. It looks so cute on her bed. Fun to see how happy she was when she got it for her birthday. We even quilted a little Happy Birthday on the edge. I wish I would have made it bigger. Didn't know she would put it on the bed. I made it to be a lap quilt.
Oma turned 80 this year we had a fun little birthday party. She was a good sport considering the circumstances. Happy Birthday Oma Love you!

  1. Michelle, so happy to have heard from you. The pumpkin choc. chip cookie recipe is the cookie/recipe that Wayne's mom made for them growing up, so it is his favorite cookie. Or one he associates with childhood and happy memories. I never met his mom so felt it important to learn some of the family favorites when we first got married. I don't make it much b/c we all don't need the extra calories. We are all doing well, a little sick of summer and looking for the much needed relief of a cool down that we will get shortly. I say that but actually it has cooled down a little. I see sweaters appearing in the early morning and swim parkas at the swim meets once the sun goes down. Happy to have seen photos on one of your family blogs of your mom and dad and hope that they are in good health. More later, seminary's over and the kiddoes will be home soon. Then to make lunches and the scramble to get them out the door again.
